  1. You shouldnt many stores now accept used batts you can find a list at the epa website


  2. Just find a spot to drop them off............I even get 5 dollars back at Costco for taking mine there........only way to go........Many years ago they had real silver in them....and nobody would say anything...........wonder why they were so happy to have them:) nite

  3. What size batteries are we talking about?  If car batteries, NO, those have to go to the parts place as cores, or somewhere that can handle proper disposal.. as for others, not really, but, most people do..

  4. All batteries contain toxic metals like, lead, mercury, and etc. They should be disposed at a toxic disposal  center. Every community has them and they have special days of the year when you can take them, meanwhile store spent batteries like in a coffee can.

  5. That's a no-no!  In my area they are picked up with the recycling. You could check with your local municipality or recycling company for more information.

  6. You must hand them in . most stores will take them now or your local authority
