Can you tile over wood floors?

Yes I did it, but my handyman put a thin layer of fiberboard down first only because mortar and grout don't adhere to wood too well, since they wood is smooth and polished.

Make sure the floor is level and put the quickset on the floor as well as butter the tile from corner to corner and all in between. Yes it can be done
