just trying to get a straight answer, the thing is i dont want my information to be on these reverse look up things so how do i get it off

  2. The national cell phone directory isn't out yet. And it's voluntary. You'll have an option to opt out of having your number listed. It'll be just like a regular phone book; unlisted numbers won't be in it.

    Of course, if you have Verizon, you have nothing to worry about. Currently, Verizon has refused to participate.

    If it's law enforcement that you're worried about, there's nothing that you can do except go and pay cash for a prepaid phone.

  3. There's a service you can use at http://www.phone-number-trace.com which allows you to pay a small fee ($4.95 I think) to remove your information from it.


  4. You can't stop the Police from checking it out, but your phone is probably not listed unless you call and list it.
