Cell phones show incoming calls on the phonebill, but landlines do not. Will AT&T trace an incoming call to my line? It is very very important. Is it going to be a hassle? Will the police need a warrant?

  1. yeah sure... 1471 in the uk anyway.. go to the policea nd say i wanna know if ma mama called... :)

  2. You can add the call trace feature to your own ATT  plan.

  3. Yes, in the US, definitely they do, and they show up on my phone bill.

  4. According to what type account you have with AT&T.......if it's Area Calling for example: no, it doesn't show up on your bill.  You will have to call and ask for a Trace, if it's out of your state's area code.  If it's in your area code, you can dial two numbers, which will trace it.  The police shouldn't have to be involved, as the phone company is much like the Postal service.  There are Federal regulations, therefore there are guide lines we must abide by to use this service.  Anyone abusing this service to harass another should be made aware they could be sentenced to jail by law. Many times the phone company will either call this person or send the person a letter.  It usually stops these people from harassing you.

AT&T will be happy to help you with this.  Don't hesitate to call them.  Sounds like you need to let them handle this person.  They can look at your incoming calls and see how many times this person calls and the times. Hope this helps.

    Bless you<><:)
