Can you transfer songs from Computer A to Computer B?

Question

I got a new laptop and I want to put my songs on my old computer on. But I downloaded most of the songs and I don't want to transfer the viruses. If I burn them onto a cd and rip them onto the new one will the viruses transfer as well? If they do is there any way to get them on without getting the viruses.

just download avast or avg and get rid of the virus before you copy them to new computer

Just to add on, iTunes are authorized to play on up to seven PCS.  It's a good idea to deauthorize a PC (from the PC itself) or you'll be buying your tunes all over again in a couple of years...

Individually save the songs to a flash drive and copy them to the new computer.
