Well I went to Chile would be :Fui a Chile. Snowboarding in some parts of latin america would be: patineta de nieve, tabla de nieve or snowboarding (would be used like this: Fui snowboarding). Snowtubing would be: snowtubing or you could use: Fui a deslizarme en la nieve (I went sliding in the snow) I'm sure people would understand what you mean by that.
