Can you turn a Air Mattress into a waterbed?

is it possible to turn an Air Mattress into a waterbed. Becasue i want a water bed but thier insanly expensive. So i had a that though and no one i no has an answer.

  1. It'll probably work.. for a little.. but I wouldn't recommend it whatsoever. An air mattress is made for somewhat temporary use, and a certain weight limit. If you fill it up with water, your adding the weight of several large sized adults, as well as yourself sleeping on it, and probably keeping it for at least several weeks. Scenario I see playing out is one night, you'll turn over or something, putting a short burst of pressure on the mattress and the seems will just give way. Since it was made to be an air mattress, your insurance (or any insurance) won't cover it, and you'll be dealing with several hundred or thousand dollars worth of water damage...

    Just not worth it, invest in a real one.


  2. ok..so u know the whole in the side of the air mattress-the 1 that allows it to be blown up? just stick a garden hose inside of that whole and then when the mattress is full take the hose out and put the lid back on the whole! hope i helped!
