I've been poking around with the browser, and it seems pretty good, except that I can't find out how to turn off the spell check. Any help?

  1. Yes, but not from browser itself:

    1) Quit Chrome

    2) Open file "Preferences" in "Chrome\User Data\Default\" directory where Chrome is installed (eg. on my machine is in c:\Documents and Settings\<my username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\)

    3)    remove language code from following block:

"spellcheck": {"dictionary": "<language code>"} (leave two empty quotes in place)

    4) Start Chrome. Spellcheck should be disabled now.

...hope it helps. Certainly it helped me. :)

  2. you need no do that because it does automatically after some time and  that too i have read about this from other source.

Just go through that in which complete history and working aspects of chrome web browser are given.

  3. Weird. I've not seen any signs of a spellcheck at all.
