One of the ossetians defenders told that before russian forces come in they were able to capture one of the georgian tanks. They also captured the georgian mechanic.

The georgian mechanic took its place in the tank and they all drive to fight the georgian invaders. And this georgian mechanic did all the best as hard as he could.

Besides the heavy arillery and missile fire there a lot of terriblie stories the eyewitness are telling, like georgian tanks that went through the childs, people burnt alive, burning helpless people in churches, head cutting and georgian soldiers laughing looking at it.

So when you see your soldiers doing such things can you turn your own weapon against them?

  1. Yes such acts are against the Geneva convention and international law. Sadly your side will undoubtedly shoot you for it anyway, they may even give you a trial before doing so.

  2. It would sure make it a lot easier.

  3. No, you turn them in, you don't kill them.

  4. No because then THAT would be illegal.

  5. War crimes are defined by the Geneva Convention documents (among other things - there was also the Hague Convention earlier). If fellow soldiers are committing war crimes, you need to follow the policy of the service your in to report and/or arrest them. Failure to do this will result in imprisonment/execution (and if you're lucky, they'll even give you a trial first!). Bear in mind that reporting something like that may result in your never being promoted again, and your life in the service being made so difficult you'll end up leaving. On the other hand, you'll be doing the right thing, and may end up a hero out of it.

  6. Propaganda
