Can you upload a video to your computer that you record on a camcorder 8mm tape?

I have done it with an SD card, but i dont know how to do it with a tape.

If you want your video on DVD, think about sending it/them to a video services company. They can professionally convert your tapes to dvd... I tried messing with mine for a while, but finally decided to send them off. These guys gave me some great dvd's:
