I have a Samsung SC-D357(or 351?) camcorderr. I lost the user guide. I am wondering if I can somehow upload the video onto my computer to edit it and then post it on youtube or such...?

  1. Firewire (IEEE 1394) or USB 2.0 should do the trick to capture video to your computer provided you have the software to capture that video.

  2. most computers should have a fire wire lead or USB 2.0.

if you don't have a firewire card in the computer you'll have to use the USB of course.

for movie maker you need to connect cam to lead, launch movie maker and switch on cam in VCR mode.

hit (ctrl) R to start video capture.

if you're using imovie it's pretty much the same but easier. there is an import symbol which allows you to capture.

    you're done!

  3. The SC-D351 (I couldn't find anything about a SC-D357) has USB streaming, so you should be able to use a USB connection.  Whether or not you can use your MP3 player's cable depends on what sort of plug it has - they're not all the same size on the device end.  If you want reliable video capture you'd be much better off going for a firewire connection - if your pc hasn't already got a firewire card they're cheap, easy to install and readily available.

  4. Connect your camcorder to computer via USB cable, the computer will find your camcorder device automatically. Then open the camera, copy the photo to your computer. More good quality and reasonable price digital camera and digital camcorder, please refer to here http://www.epathchina.com.

  5. Maybe you'll find a users guide here or at least a how-to guide for transferring footage to a computer.
