can i use 2 modems in one house connected to a tv cord? because i dont want to buy a wirless xbox router

  1. No, but you can buy a network switch for $30.


  2. What about buying a regular router?  You can only use 1 modem on a internet connection.  Hooking up a switch or router will allow more connections than just the one that the modem has.  And use CAT 5 cable, it isn't that expensive to buy a length that you need already made up with plugs.

  3. nope it would be difficult at best not worth the trouble compared to buying a cheap 25-40 dollar LAN router such as the one listed below at amazon though with a little browsing around you can find one better just be sure you get a router not a switch (router allows internet use)

  6. Sorry - No - In order to have 2 modems on a "tv cord" (cable connection) you would have to have 2 accounts and 2 bills. I doubt you want that.

    Besides - a cable modem runs about $100 (no - your cable service will not "give" you another one). You can get a wired router for $40 - 60
