Can you use 3-12 volt batteries in place of 6-6 volt batteries in a golf cart?

  1. yes, but i wouldnt recommend it at all.


  2. yes you can but it wont hold up.....  If you use regular car battery's they will be trashed very quickly.... Use deep cycle battery's youll get about half of the life out of them. You'll lose your run  time also..... but the answer is YES.............

  3. It depends if the batteries are wired in series or parallel or a combination of the two.  

    If they are all wired in series then yes, as long as you wire the new batteries in series.  

    If they are all in parallel then no you can't.  

    If the 6 volt batteries are wired in 3 parallel and 2 series then you can just wire the 12 volts in parallel.  

    If the 6 volt batteries are wired 2 parallel and 3 series then you can't do it.

  4. You probably can if they are wired correctly.
