Can you use *67 outside of the United States?

my friend from Germany wants to call but I don't want the number on my phone bill so can he use *67? and if so how does he use it?

  1. no!!! It does not work that way!!  Tell him to use a calling card! It will not show up that way!

If he calls from there dialing directly, the charge will come back to the phone he is using.   If he wants the charges to go your way , he would dial the operator and ask to place a collect call, and the operator would talk to you first and ask if you are willing to accept the charges for a collect call from so and so in Germany.       If you say no., end of phone call.   67 does not mean the same thing to the German/European phone network.   It may only apply to your state.

  4. Yes, I live in Canada and we also use *67.  Just tell him to punch in *67 and then your area code and phone number.  Hope it helped :-)
