  1. In the big resort areas, yes.  But  if you do, you will be spending about 10% more than you need to as they give you a horrible exchange rate.  Better to use your ATM card to get pesos out as needed...get best exchnage rate that way.

  2. hi! no.... but you can change your maney on a money exchange shop theres a lot of shops here!!

in cabo san lucas or cancun you can use american currency...

    good luck from mexico city

  3. I have lived in Mexico for over 4 years now!  Not only is it more expensive to use american money, but many places do not accept it!  Why would you want to use american money???  Pesos, and conversion rates are available through all ATM's  most use the same debit cards as US.  They are just as safe etc!  if you are coming to Mexico, please try to adhere to the local customs, and try to speak the language!

  4. Hola!!

Yes, you can use dollars in many places in México especially in the big cities

They will take 1dlls=10 pesos. It's a big loss if you're going to spend a lot of money,

But also, there will be people that won't do your work of changing the dlls for you and won't accept any dlls. Recreational places(like park atractions, some museums) won't accept dlls either.

  5. Mexico has their own currency, the Mexican Peso (Nuevo Peso). Most places will require you to pay with that. However, some places in Mexico that are more touristy and/or closer to the US such as Tijuana, will accept US dollars.

  6. haha NO...

    it is a different country...
