Can you use Goof off on Hardwood floors?

I bought a gallon of professional strength goof off to get some old adhesive carpet padding off my hardwood floors. The carpet padding stuck to the floors and Im almost finished pulling the excess padding but have a stick residue on the floor. I do not want to refinish the floors as they are really nice. Will goof off take off the finish? or is it safe to use.

  1. I used it to take off latex paint and really old scotch tape from my hardwood floors and it worked great. It did not damage the floor at all. Just left behind that chemical smell.

  2. Yes & there's another product you can try called Afta by Gardsman. I use it for everything.
