  1. My dentist told me that it works wonders, especially if you have problems with your gums (bleeding, chonic infection, etc.). However, he told me to mix it with water, so it is not pure peroxide.

  2. yes

  3. Hi,

The cheapest and safest way to get your teeth whitened is to get the Crest White Strips. Though there are other options. Hydrogen peroxide CAN whiten your teeth to a certain degree. It can also be used as a mouthwash.

However, you should NOT use hydrogen peroxide for a prolonged period not only because of the bad taste, but because :

    a) any liquid that causes effervescence (even seltzer water) causes irreversible chemical erosion of the teeth.

    b) Hydrogen peroxide is known to cause an oral condition called "Hairy Tongue", where white hair like structures stick out from the dorsum (top surface) of the tongue. This condition makes eating a nightmare with almost no taste sensation. Swallowing also becomes difficult.

    Hope this helped.

  4. YES!  It's a great gum rinse, cleans your tongue, and whitens your teeth.
