If Condors scavange the hunting area- no lead allowed. This covers last year most of the south east/central California. North west california was still open to lead bullets and a chunk of South west area. Some people are using Barnes solid bullets-copper-  in rifles for deer. There is a sabot shotgun slug with soft iron bullet insert supposed to be around as well as one using a .44 brass bullet insert that are supposed to be legal.
