Can you use Roxio to convert an mp4 file into something that will play on a DVD player?

I have the Roxio Creater Premier that came with my new PC. I've not used it before but I wondered if it could be used to convert an mp4 file into something that can be played on my DVD player.

If not, how can I convert it from mp4 to DVD so that I can burn it from my computer onto disc and watch it on my home dvd player? I'm not convinced about downloading other programs unless I know for sure that they are safe and virus free.

Roxio can't do that for you.I would recommend you download ConvertXtoDVD. Ive been using it for a year now, on windows, never had a problem!

It will convert your video files to the dvd format readable by all standard dvd players, then burn automatically to DVD!

I personally use ultimate DVD + Video converter suite.

I'd prefer using this dvd burner to burn mp4 file to DVD for playback on my TV, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works pretty well, and here is a step by step guide about it
