  1. Yes, a powered one can be bought for 15-30 quid.

  2. If you're close enough to the transmitting tower. Doesn't matter what size the tv, just the amount of signal received. Just connect the indoor aerial and see how you go.

If you have problems, you can either get an outdoor aerial or get  signal booster.

  3. you can use an indoor ariel on any size Tv

  4. um ariel is from the little mermaid and your tv would break underwater so no i dont think so

  5. Yes, but the picture quality won't be anywhere near as good....

  6. You can use an indoor aerial on any TV, as long as you get a good signal from transmitter. If not get a booster.

  7. Yes, why not.  The aeriel doesn't know how big your TV is.

  8. The size of the screen won't affect the need for an indoor or outdoor aerial. However concerning the quality of reception it depends on what sort of signal you're using: analogue or digital.

Analogue (BBC, ITV, C4 and C5 in the UK) can be picked up by an indoor aerial, but the quality won't be great and it depends on factors such as where it's positioned and what the signal strength is like where you live.

The digital signal used for Freeview services is rarely picked up well enough to be watchable by an indoor aerial, even though many indoor aerials are marketed as being for digital use. You may not get a signal at all, or it may only show certain channels. Again signal strength also depends on your location. Following the switchover all masts previously transmitting analogue signals will be upgraded to transmit digital TV signals and in theory the reception should improve.

In either case an indoor aerial's performance is usually enhanced dramatically by being fed through a signal 'booster', some aerials have one built in and are generally powered through the mains.

    Hope that helps!

  9. It depends on the reception in your area. Even with a strong indoor aerial your reception may be very poor.

  10. Ok this requires another question. How close to your sender  is your set and how strong is their signal strength? Any TV will pick up reception from a sender who is across town for instance.
