Can you use a PS2 controller on PS3

yes though you need to buy an adapter...I just hate it coz I wanna play with my friends on COD4 with the 3 of us but I only have 2 controllers though I have 4 PS2 controllers I still can't find a controller adapter...

no,simply because the ps3's controllers are wireless and the ps2's controllers have wires so there's no way to connect it to the ps3

The only way you could is if you have an adapter that are $20 (they do not work with sixaxis games though.

You should be able to since you can use PS1 controllers on PS2.
