Can you use a boil and bite mouth guard without boiling and then biting?

I was thinknig that im gunna buy a brain-pad pro plus high performance mouth-guard, is this a good desicion?

  1. You could skip the boil and bite.  You might risk though losing some teeth or having your lips cut inside if you dont.  It also protects your gums so you should bite hard. If you dont use a mouthguard you are almost guaranteed to lose  teeth. Its always better to mold the mouthpiece to your teeth/gums. Might even protect you from a broken jaw. Professsional boxers may spit out the mouthpeice but they have 5 others the trainers prepared earlier.


  2. The boil and bite mouth peaice could actually do more damage to your teeth if you do not boil it and fit it too your teeth.

    There cheap and not very effective. Your best bet if you are serious is get one custom made from your dentist. I couldn't tell you the price anymore. It was about 150 dollars about 10 years ago. I'm sure it has probably dropped in price by now.

    But if you go with the boil and bite defiantly boil it and form it to your gums and teeth.
