Can you use a calculator in the pilapt pilot aptitude test?

I am taking a pilot aptitude test in 2 days for a flight school and im not sure what to expect does anyone no if you can use acalculator in the pilapt test

  1. Actually, yes you can.  I used one to interpolate values off of the charts and plan cross countries.  I would not bring a graphing calculator though, that could definitely be used to cheat, and may be looked down upon.  You may also use an electronic E6B, however you can not use an E6B program on a portable computer like a Palm Pilot.

    Basically, just a simple, non graphing calculator.


  2. Yes.

    You can bring a few sheets of blank paper to do your calculations, a calculator - with basic functionality, and a bunch of pencils.

    Study hard, take lots of practice tests and you should be fine.
