Can you use a clapper for a room light?

i always fall asleep with my bedroom light on because i keep putting off getting up. I read a bunch of the descriptions but it sounds like you need to use the clapper for lamps that plug into an outlet. Is there anyway to get it to work for lights that are wired into the wall?

  1. Frankly I have no idea....

but that is a very bitching idea!!!

  2. Can't answer that question specifically, but there must be something available. I used to have a ceiling fan which was operated by a remote like what you use for a TV but not by a wall switch. You must be reading in bed. Can you not get a reading lamp which you can shut off without getting up?

  3. sorry

    work on lamps only

  4. dont think so...why dont you try and get one of those automatic light timers.

  5. Not that I know of .  The clapper is plugged into the wall, and the lamp is plugged into the clapper.  There is no way to get into the wiring in the wall to make this work.
