  1. I've never used a face primer before. I just wash my face using Clean and Clear's Oil Free Foaming Facial Cleanser, then put on Pond's Dry Skin Cream on afterwards. I find that mouisturizer works fine.

First of all, I think all of my makeup is Rimmel. Their products work great for me, so that's what I buy. I put on liquid foundation first, then blush on the apples of my cheeks, then pressed powder to set it. Then, I'll add a tinted lip glass from Bath & Body Works. I hardly ever wear mascara (that's a special occasion thing for me), but if I do, I curl my lashes first, and only use one coat.

  2. I have never used a primer because I was told that moisturizer serves the same purpose; the first thing you put on your face tends to get absorbed into your skin, so the moisturizer, besides the benefits of helping prevent wrinkles and whatnot, serves as a barrier to keep your skin from absorbing your foundation, and keeps your natural sebum from mixing with your foundation and causing it to slide.  I also believe that more dermatological testing goes into moisturizers than primers, so I'd rather have moisturizer next to my skin, lol! As for good moisturizers, a good, cheap one is made by Cetaphil that is non irritating to sensitive skin; Aveeno makes some nice moisturizers for $25 and less as well.  Hope this helped!

  3. first off- even if you use a primer ALWAYS use moisturizer.

    now..

moisturizer is part of your skincare routine. primer is part of your makeup routine. a primer smooths out the skin surface for makeup, fills in small lines and wrinkles, and makes your makeup stay on longer during the day.

you're going to wash your face, moisturize, then primer. primer is the last thing before your makeup.

  4. My make up routine.

I wash my face with Clean&Clear Oil-Free Daily Pore Cleanser and then Moisturize with Clean&Clear Oil-Free Dual Action Moisturizer.

I let the moisturizer sit on my face for about 2-3minutes and then Put my make up on. I use Artistry Essentials (= Great make up.

  5. i dont understand the use of a primer... but i use pro-activ then biore spf moisterizer then my clairins true radience foundation, unless i have a zit and then i use a conclear. then my foundation and then just the rest of my makeup.

  6. Moisterizer helps make sure your makeup blends well. When you put makeup on dry skin it just sits on top of the skin. But moisturizer doesn't make your makeup last longer like with primer which is designed for that purpose. Primers usually have silicons in it that help blending and makes makeup last longer and stay look fresher all day.

I usually only wear a little mineral powder on my T- zone and some mascara. For fancier nights, I wear deep blues or black smoky eyeliner, mascara and a little shimmer. Makeup is so fun.

I like MAC primer the best.

  7. A primer and a moisturizer are two different things.  A moisturizer will keep moisture in your skin and protect your skin if it has spf in it.  A primer is a silicone (usually) barrier between your skin and makeup that helps the makeup glide on and create a smoother finish.

My makeup routine in the summer is to put on moisturizer then I brush my teeth to give the lotion time to sink it.  I then put on a light layer on loose powder to even out my skin tone. I use a blush and then i put on a subtle shimmer on the top of my cheekbones.  I then line my eyes with eyeshadow.  I curl my lashes and the put on Lash Blast by covergirl.

In the winter I add the primer, a liquid foundation (I prefer Giorgio Armani's) and some eyeshadow from Nars that's very natural looking.

  8. Yes, instead of a primer I just use a moisturizer. Honestly, it does the exact same thing! The point of a primer is to ready the skin for makeup and to smooth and moisturize it. Isn't that exactly what a facial moisturizer does?! I don't why people waste their money on those riduclously expensive makeup primers. (rolls eyes and sighs) Here's my morning makeup routine.

    *Cetpahil Facial cleanser

    *Neutrogena Clear Pore Oil-Elminating Astringent

    *Proactiv Oil-Free SPF 15 Moisturizer

    *Revlon Colorstay Blemish Concealer

    *Bare Minerals SPF 15 Foundation

    *Estee Lauder Blush

*Rimmel London Colour Rush Eye Shadow Trio in Spices (I use all three colors)

*Maybelline Define A Line Eyeliner in Slate Gray on top lid only, smudged

    *Shu Uemura Eye Lash Curler

*Maybelline Lash Stylist Waterproof Mascara in Very Black on top and bottom lashes (I actually own 13 mascaras and I change which one I use everyday, but I've been using this one a lot lately cause I really like it)

*Lip Gloss (I own about 500 that I use every day)

    Bye!!!
