  1. In the UK (your question is on the UK site), you can listen to your music using your headphones on trains.

However, please be considerate to other passengers, keep the volume low enough that sound does not leak out.  Also, certain carriages are designated "quiet coaches", identifiable by stickers on the windows.  Mobile phones are prohibited in these areas.

  2. No

  3. There are no restrictions, provided you play the music through headphones, and you don't listen to it in the "quiet coach" either.

If you don';t comply to the conditions, you may be ejected from the train.

  4. yeah you can pretty much do what you like as long as your not loud. ive done that. and even watched a dvd on a train

  5. Yes as long as it is kept quiet and it isn't audible to other passengers so it doesn't disturb them

It doesn't interfere with the running of the train and its systems.

  6. Yes you can, But only in the non 'Quiet' coaches, marked with labels on the windows.

you can use your phone on a plane between take-off/landing as long as you turn it to 'flight mode''

  7. yes-if it has an mp3  player

  8. I can't because it is prohibited for railroad employees

but as a passenger you certainly can, using headphones of course, loud external speakers would be a good way to meet the ballast face first.

    enjoy your ride

  9. Yea of course you can u just can't on planes,(I don't like flying either) but u shold be allowed to just sit the with headphones in ur ears listening to music.

    Hope this helps

  10. thank goodness,at last, someone who has respect for other people.

  11. I would imagine. Doesn't the phone have a non-broadcast mode, for on planes?

  12. Yes you can.

Make sure you have the volume turned really low.  Any noise that seeps out of your headphones will seriously upset any other passengers, and will get you thrown off the train at the nearest station/stop.

  13. Yes,  On a train is ok.

On a plane the concern is your electronic equipment may interfere with the electronics of the plane.

I imagine the logic is along the lines of.  During take off and landing every split second counts.  Even the smallest of interference could cause a disaster.

  14. Yes

  15. sure but just make sure you're not sitting within 10 feet of me.

  16. You should be able to, mine worked pretty good. maybe since a plane is so high up it wouldnt work.

  17. Yeah its an MP3 and radio player.  but with headphones

  18. yes you can and on the plane but not during take off or landing

  19. If in the UK yes...you can use your phone for calls, music games and the net, whatever you want.

  20. Yes you may, however keep the noise personal, dont annoy anyone else with the incesent tinny sounds that people seem to subject others too when the music is too loud.
