Can you use a mp3 download for a ringtone on a virgin mobile phone.?

I found some great sound bites to download but they're mp3 if I download them can I somehow use them as a ringtone on my virgin mobile phone.

use that site to make the mp3 ringtone, and then use a cable to transfer it because virgin mobile does not allow any site to send it directly

as long as your phone supports mp3 format then i'm sure you can use it as your ringtone.. you can refer to your phone's manual or ask your vendor about it..
