Can you use a window unit air conditioner in a tent?

Question

We have a screened in porch on our tent. We are going to place the unit on bricks and zip the entrance to out tent around the unit. It will not be suspended, just sitting slightly raised off of the ground.

Yeah, it would work fine. Just tilt the unit slightly backward so the condensate (water) drips back out the unit via the little drain point (this is really for long term, it'll rust if you don't, but also might leak into the tent, and may be a slight electrical hazard)

as long as where youa re camping has elecricity you can use it there. we used one a few years go when we went camping

Im just curious as to how you are going to support the weight of an AC on the fabric of the tent.... and if you need an AC to go camping....maybe you should rethink your trip....try a Marriot...
