Can you use a wireless adapter as the internet source for a router?

i was wondering if you could plug in a wireless adapter into the ethernet port onto a router. Would this work?

  1. Done correctly, yes it works just fine.  Using a wireless bridge, like Linksys WET54 which allows you to setup the bridge, connect to a network, then bring out ehternet to a routers WAN port works great. You do have to setup the new router to use a different network range etc.

    We set these up daily for long distance wifi setups.
