Can you use an Amazon gift certificate to purchase items from individual sellers? Like, used and new items.?

I know you cannot purchase from The Bombay Company and other stores through Amazon (read the Terms and Conditions) with a gift certificate. I am wondering if you can purchase items from individual sellers. For example, when you find an item on Amazon, and on the right there is "__ used & new..."

Hopefully someone understands my question. Ha, ha.

Nope. You have to buy it from Amazon not individual sellers to be able to use the certificate. Amazon prices are a little more expensive which doesnt make too much of a difference if you use one and the individual sellers have lower prices anyway.
