I was given a Virgin Mobile Contract Phone from my cousin because he gets a new phone every year. So he gave me his old phone. but i was wondering if u could use a Orange Pay As You Go SIM or do i have to use a virgin SIM. And if i can't what other SIM cards could i use without having to unlock or un chip my phone?

  1. Try putting the sim card in the phone to see if it will work. If it will not work then you will either have to get the phone unlocked or buy a Virgin sim card. I hope this helps.

  2. If it's locked to Virgin you can use either virgin or T-mobile in it.

But is it even locked? I have used ex contract O2 phones that where never locked to a network.

    EDIT

You could get a Free pay as you go sim card direct from orange, might as well just try it since it won't cost you anything. Here's the link for them to send you free sim cards.
