yes you can use it,

but only if you know the capacity of your tire to the pressure and you have to be very careful because if you exceed it can bust,

most of bike tires have up to 30-35 of air pressure, to take care

some bikes now use those very small valve stems,

the older bikes use the same ones as cars do and some newer bikes use them you just have to see which one you have.

I've done it numerous times. Make sure you bring your own pressure meter. I never found the ones at the gas station to be very accurate.
