I've got 3 week old puppies and when they pee they'll step in it and get it all over each other. I've been using baby wipes to wipe them off so they dont stink. I've only did it a time or two so far and I was wondering if its ok? The box says non toxic and the mom doesnt seem to care.

  1. of course!

i use baby wipes even on my older dogs, when they come in muddy feet i rub the firt off. or cleaning dirt off, or sometimes the pups get poo stuck to themselves.

it is fine, i like to run mine under water though so it collects more dirt and other smells

  2. I am not sure if you are supposed to or not or if they will hurt the pups, but they have special dog bath wipes at Petsmart that we use and they work great.

    Hope that helps!

  3. Yes, but get the disposable ones you can flush.  They are great for wiping paws and it freshens them up.

  4. if she's feeding her pups shes cleaning them.if their over 3weeks old i gave mine baths to keep them clean and keep the fleas off.but don't use flea soap use strawberry shampoo.i swear it works it's the only thing i use on my dogs.oh!and put news paper down.you have to change it every day.but it helps alot.good luck.

  5. You can but you would be better of going to the pet store and buying actual puppy wipes for them. The box says non-toxic to human children that's a big leap to non toxic for dogs

  6. Its OK......Non Toxic then there's nothing to worry about.

    Although,

    Like Rayven has mentioned.

it is better to use the puppy wipes.

    Good Luck.

    Have fun with the pups!

  7. I use baby wipes to clean out ears and give them a good wipe down if we're between bathes.  It's perfectly fine, they even sell them in a box specifically for pets if you want to be cautious about it.  I might simply because they are small and the mother is still cleaning them.

  8. i think that it should be totally fine. if they are used for babies, why not puppies, right? just don't use those lysol wipes that you use for tables, toilets, and other messes around your household. well, good job. :)

  9. If you can use it on a baby, then it's pretty much okay to use on a puppy.  Just make sure that you watch for any type of rashes, so it's not an allergic reaction.

  10. Yep! I have always used them on my dogs and cats ( kittens and puppies included.) My vet says they are perfectly safe. I use them to wipe my dogs' ears out with, and wipe their paws, and to just go over them between baths. LOL,you'll really need them when the pups start eating puppy mush!! What a mess!!

Edit: The puppy wipes are nice, but you only get about 14 of them for around $3.00. I just use the store-brand baby wipes.
