Can you use black electrical tape when sending out packages via the U.S. postal service?

I can't find my clear packaging tape, yet I really need to get these packages out, can I use electrical tape?

Black electrical tape, (thread reinforced) should be fine. Black electrical tape (the plastic type) will probably not keep in place.

They have packing tape at the post office....I just had to send out some and I wrapped and packed it all there in the post office..good luck

sure can... no one cares what kind of tape it is.. as long as it holds the content of the package inside the package.
