Can you use caulk (silicon sealant) to fix clothes? I saw some commercial for fabric repair glue with the Oxy-Clean guy, and the way he described it, it sounds similar to caulking. I would try it except it is ridiculously expensive while caulk is cheap...

  1. no and if you do it will be only temporary.

  2. if you apply silicon to the fabric it will become gummy and you will have bumps in the fabric , and after you wash it it will peel off, the only thing that you could use if you really want to use an adhesive instead of stitching you can purchase fabric glue  such as this one.

  3. It might work if used in moderation and left to dry.Although when put in the washer and dryer it would probably ruin the job.

  4. I have no idea whether you can do this, but if I were you, I would try in on an old cloth - make sure it with withstand all the usual clothing activities, e.g. washing drying and ironing and if it does, use it on a real repair.
