  1. No you cannot. CD-Rs are only 700MB while DVDs are 4.7GB. DVDs hold more information. If the movie is less than 700MB, then it can fit on a CD. Otherwise, you need DVDs.

  2. You can not. cd-r/rw only hold 700 mb where dvd's can hold up to 4 gb

HOWEVER! you can save video files to the cd-r/rw(.AVI, MPEG-4, .ogm, etc.) by burning a data disc, but the disc won't work in a dvd player....only other computers and to your playstation 3 (if you have one...>.>)

    Hope this helps!

  3. No they are totally different by style, working and capacity too. A CD is 700 MB whereas a DVD is 4 MB.

  4. no

  5. A DVD is actually around 4GB. , but anyway a CD and a DVD are 2 diffrent tyoes of media. A dvd is the primary format for video contant and for audio you can use CD. You can however but AVI files on a CD-R. and AVI file is a type movie file, although its not as good quality as a DVD film.

  6. Yes & No - Yes you can save movie type files & pictures you have created to a CD - but they will only work on a Computer - they will not play in a DVD machine.
