of course... was brought up using them. it's really not that hard once you get used to it. sometimes the instructions on chopstick packaging are a bit confusing, so it's better to ask someone to show you. once you get the hang of it, gripping food with chopsticks will be a breeze. and they really give a steady grip too:)

Yes, but after a while my hand cramps up, so I'm forced to switch to a fork.  I also found that training chopsticks (they are connected on one end) makes it easier,'cause it's not putting a strain on my hand so much.

When I was a little kid, I had to learn how to use chop sticks the "proper" way. So in order to learn quickly, my mom made a plate of my favorite food and said I can only eat it with chopsticks (used properly). It took about half a day to eat what's on that plate, but ever since that day I can eat anything with chopsticks!

yes, absolutely---food tastes better too. Try it, some restaurants give them away in a packet, & directions for usage is listed. It may take some practice, but you will totally enjoy using them once you get the knack. Good luck!

When I was in Beijing I had to learn to use them because restaurants don't have knives and forks.

I must have been very proficient because the waitresses would bring the chefs out from the kitchen and they would smile at how well I used the chopsticks.
