the speakers for the pc work quite well and even have

4 speakers and a subwoofer with some systems for

not very much money==the home entertainment systems

we have looked at have a separate receiver and 4 speakers

with subwoofer and the option of spending 100 dollars to

send wirelesss signal to two of the speakers. these units

generally contain cd/dvd players as well.

it seems that blue ray is here to stay so that might be another

reason to purchase another pc system for now.

what are other people doing??

  1. Well to answer the above question i believe that you can buy an adapter for the speakers from your computer but in most cases the tv will only have two inputs on the back for right and left sound. So you will only be able to plug in two speaker inputs into the tv.

  2. You can buy a simple system with 80watts for $39 bucks with wireless remote, active power sub woofer and 5 speakers at Wal-Mart. They have these systems and their pretty good if you don't want to spend a lot of money. They come with Dolby Pro Logic II for 5.1. Some of them have more than 100Ws. The ones for the PC it depends how powerful they are? But really not recommended to use with a HDTV. Most of these sets only have 5w, 10w, 20w.
