Can you use contact solution as eyedrops?

hm ok..

when i put in my contacts, yes sometimes it feels a little funny and i have to like adjust them. instead of opening my eye drops, having to put it in my eye and then washing my hands all over again to put in my other contact, cant i just use the solution as some sort of an eyedrop?

its kinda the same thing right? correct me if im wrong. ive never done it but it sorta makes sense to me..but then again i dont want to blind myself or anything

  1. i do all the time, and nothing bad has happened to my eyes. i put the contact on my finger and i put 2 drops of solution on the actual contact and then put it in my eye, and it works just fine! =]

  3. Ask your doctor, because some contact solutions have chemicals that would really burn your eye.

  4. eye solution as you have said is a chemical to  clean the contacts, does not suit to human tissue

  5. yes its kind of the same thing

    the contact solution makes the conact softer and helps it stay in place

  6. You can, but make sure that you don't touch the tip of the dropper to your eyelashes, lids or anything else.  You don't want to contaminate it....

  7. I am not 100% sure, but I dont think you should. Please consult yr eye doctor before you do. Its always safe.
