  1. I have never heard of fabric softener being harmfull to adults...I do think the skin of a two day old is a bit to sensitive for it though. The drift is especially made for babys skin and make the cloths soft enough without adding extra softner to the laundery.

    New moms....hee hee hee.

Congrats! Good luck, and God Bless!!

  2. Yes and No just depends on your baby.  I use fabric softener on my little ones clothes and his skin is fine but its different for every infant.

  3. I'd be careful with softeners -- which contain perfumes and which sometimes leave residue on clothes. I recommend sticking with Drift.

  4. I would not personally do it.  Babies have very sensitive skin and that would not be the wisest choice.  If its just to get the fabric to be softer, she could try using the dye free and perfume free dryer sheets.  I dont see a problem with those, but I would not use anything that contained perfumes, you never know the reaction the baby could have to it.

  5. it's not healthy for adults even, so I wouldnt

  6. I did for both of my daughters and it has never irritated their skin.

  7. I personally would not recommend it.  It has to much scent and other added things that could and will irritate the babies skin.  My son is 10 days old and the only thing i will use is dreft myself.  It is specially made for babies clothes.  So i would advise her against using fabric softener.
