Can you use flash to take a picture of a rabbit?

I know you cant for a hamster, so i was wondering if you can for a rabbit.

It's really no problem at all. I raise rabbits for show, so I'm constantly taking pictures of them and their awards, or pictures of the babies for the sale page of my website. Myself and many other breeders gone through tons of rabbits and pictures with no problems.

One suggestion though- the best way to take good rabbit pictures is to take them out on a nice sunny day in natural light. It tends to bring out their natural fur color better and make the pictures overall better quality. But if you have to do it inside (like in the winter), using a flash is no problem at all!

I use a flash when I take pictures of them. It doesn't seem to bug them at all. My rabbit is even really skittish and she has no reaction to it so I think it would be fine! Might just depend on the bunny though.

I don't know - lots of people use flash and they have no problems. However some people obviously have had problems.

It depends on your rabbit - are they tame or skittish? are they easily scared?

You could try photos outside in natural light - they will look better anyway and you wont need to use flash. If you decide that you do need to use it, don't get too close to them and if it seems to be effecting them then turn it off.

To be honest, most of the time they wont even realise.

I wouldn't personally because the brains on rabbits are slightly larger then those in hamsters. So I wouldn't recommend it but I would leave the flash off.

The flah can hurt thier eyes. Would it be inside or outside? dark or light?

It also depends on the rabbit. I have a very tame rabbut that you can do anything to, and he wil perfectly fine with it, But I also have one that is very skidish. And would be afraid of a flash.

I do with my rabbit when i take photos of her from a litle bit of a distance away but closer photos i always turn the flash off
