For my GCSE Technology course, I am making a 3d hexagon with each side as a door, and 6 compartments in the middle,my technology teacher told me to use mitre jionts and hinges on the sides, can this work or has she made a mistake?

  1. YES! WHETHER THEY ARE INSIDE OR OUT YOU WILL HAVE TO KNOW WHICH WAY THEY NEED TO OPEN!  DID THIS YEARS AGO WITH SPEAKER BOXES FOR THE HOUSE. THE TOP AND BTTM OF EACH SIDE OF EACH PANEL WILL HAVE A ROD INSERTED LIKE A DOWEL PIN WHICH WILL REPRESENT YOUR HINGE. DONT BE CONFUSED WITH SWING TYPE HINGES!  http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=MITRE+J...
