Can you use net send on a computer thats not on your network?

Can you do net send to an IP address? if so how can i do it?

  1. no you can't. netsend only works within your network and only if the server allows the service to work. this means that the computer sending the message has the permission to send the message and that the recipient computer has the permission to read the message.

    why don't you use messengers instead? or you can sign up for a GMAIL account? Gtalk, it's messenger, is embedded in the mailbox itself so you can chat with your contacts without having to install the software.
