I'm gonna pierce my cartilage and someone recommended ora-gel to numb my ear. Will that work?

  1. yes, ora-gel contains an ingredient that numbs the nerves in the skin. if you plan on numbing your cartilage, i would recommend buy ora-gel p.m, which is stronger & less pain than regular ora-gel. i think you should leave on a thick layer of it, so it can absorb into the skin, then wipe with an sterile alcohol wipe.

  2. no i don't believe that it would work. the skin in your mouth absorbs differently than the outside skin. just numb it with ice.
