  1. Yes but your car will be a little smoky cos of the dye that's put in it to make it show up as red diesel. Oh and you might attract some attention from the boys in blue, and they might check the fuel in your fuel tank, in which case they would find your illegal red diesel in the tank & promptly arrest you lol.

That's the only problem I can see anyways lol

  2. Legal problems are about the only issue you have to worry about.  If you ran out of fuel and some farmer lends you some red deisel in a can to get you back to town, mabye the police will understand and let that slide, but I wouldn't get caught with a full tank.

  3. Unless you Get Caught It will work fine

But you will be Fined if you get Caught..

This is for Off Road Use Only.. There is no Federal or State Highway Tax on it

  4. yes it works but get stopped by police or custums and uv ad it

plus it dis colours  all the filters so its not worth the hassle

  5. the only problem is when you get stopped by the ministry and land up with a hefty fine

  6. it will run OK but never pass another mot once its been used on red diesel, the new computerised mot test can detect wether the vehicle has been run on red and if detected its an automatic fail.

  7. it's NOT meant for normal use.. only things like tractors etc.

people have been caught doing it.. and you will get a BIG fine for using it.

that's why it's red so they know people have been using it.

  8. HELLO

    YES BUT ILLEGAL

IT'S RED TO SHOW TAX FREE

    NO PROBLEMS ACTUALLY USING IT

  9. it's the same thing as regular diesel with red dye in it. If you get caught using it you'll be in a lot of trouble. If your car goes in for repair and they notice the red staining they'll report it.

However... you could say you've just bought the car etc... and it must have been the previous owner... however getting hold of the stuff is a little harder. You can't just turn up in your car and fill it you'll have to get a fuel can and do it that way.

    All the best.

  10. yes...used it for over a year......just change the fuel filter twice a year...

but its against the law...£500 plus your car gets sized..

i knew of loads that use it,not just on old sheds but also brand new mercs and bmw's

  11. fill it up where no one can see you dont spill any on the car

tell no one you are using red

get a fuel tank for the same car and put a hole in it and store it at home in a shed or garage etc

replace the tanks nuts and bolts for new ones

if you get stopped by the law you have just fitted a new tank from a scrap car you have used white diesel only the new tank must have had a bit of red in it your old tank is at home and its damaged

you still need to top up with white for receipts showing you have used white

  12. Comments as  per the others. However, no one mentioned that it will take a very long time for the red diesel to be cleared from your system if you revert to white diesel.

  13. yes but it's illegal on a public road it's meant to be cheap fuel for farmers [remember them poor starving farmers]and the like

  14. Until you get caught and they confiscate your car!

  15. nO its ilegil

  16. It's illegal to do so, hence why it's red. A much better option is to buy some equipment and a licence from your local authority. Then buy used cooking oil from a restaurant and use the equipment to make biodiesel. This is legal and I heard somewhere that you're now allowed to do this for personal use free of duty. However, I'd confirm that with customs and excise first.

  17. Only legal problems.

  18. as long as its off the highway

  19. Have fun walking home with no car and a £500 on your head. You think the Police wont be checking considering the current state of prices?

  20. using red diesel is illegal on that is why its red its not naturally red it is a special dye that is added so you cant use it in your car.

it will s***w you car up.
