If you aren't a good enough shot with a rifle or bow, then you don't belong hunting.  You'll hurt or kill some other poor hunter with a shotgun.  Say -- is this d**k Cheney asking???

there are some special regulation areas through out the US where a shotgun is mandatory as the only firearm allowed for deer hunting.

I personally don't like the use of buckshot on deer but rifled or sabot slugs work extremely well. Don't think of yourself as being handicapped with a shotgun in the woods.
