Can you use tcp to sterilize a needle?

im piercing my own belly button,please dont give any comments on how that is a bad idea, and im sterilizing all the equipment im going to use

will tcp be good for this?

also do i need to heat the needle up because i wasnt going to but i read somewhere you should

any answers apreciated thanks

  1. My sister pierced her own belly button, and she sterilized the needle with TCP, but she heated it BEFORE putting it in TCP.

    I think it's ok, because she hasn't had any infections YET...

    lol


  2. No, it won't. The only way to 100% properly sterilize piercing equipment is with an autoclave. TCP is not for sterilizing, it's for general antiseptic stuff.

  3. Ouchhh. My friend did hers, it came out amazing.

    Though you could ask for a friends help.

    Anyways. You could try to burn the needle with a lighter to sterilize it. Not sure about tcp.

  4. yeah tcp is an antiseptic so will kill all germs

    my friend pierced her own belly and ended up in a&e so be careful
