  1. No, it would be  very harmful to your lungs.  Thus, the reason they tell you never to use a charcoal grill indoors.

    You have to use charcoal specially made for hookahs, which you can buy at a smoke shop or online at a site like this

    Let me just say this. Must coals used for grilling contain small amounts of lighter fluid or need it to get started. Food absorbs minimal amounts of this but your lungs absorb as much of it as it can. Grab one of those bags and read the warnings on them. Trust me Don't do it, EVER.

    There are specific hookah coals that are quicklight and even natural coals that are specifically designed for hookahs. You can get them at import shops, head shops, hookah lounges, and online.
