Can you use the remote on the iHome ver. 9 (ih9b6) to snooze and cancel the alarm from a distance?

I was thinking of getting an iHome ver. 9 for my dorm room and using it as an alarm clock and a set of speakers which would be placed out of arms reach from my bed.

I have an ih55 and it has a snooze button on the remote.
