  1. Yes. I believe you can for SAT IIs, and I know you can for the regular SAT. The above comment is incorrect as well. You can't use ANY calculator, because then someone could get out their phone or their PDA and say theyre using it as a calculator or something. They have a list of approved ones online and in the book on testing day (I think) so just check then if youre really worried about it. I'd recommend bringing a backup just in case, especially if it malfunctions or you dont know how to use it (I actually have trouble using the TI-89 on tests and prefer a TI-83 because its interface is simpler.) You cannot, however, use the TI-89 on the ACT at all. That I'm sure of.

    my book says its ok too..
